Lived from: 34 AH to 114 AH
Wahb Ibn Munabbih rahimahullah is a Tabi’ee born during the reign of Sayyiduna Uthman radhiallahu anhu. He acquired the company of some amazing Sahabha such as Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Abbas , Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah, Sayyiduna Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Umar radhiyallahu anhum.
He was well known for his knowledge, piety and most notably his ability to forgive others.
Fadhl Ibn Abee Iyash rahimahullah says regarding his nature:
I was sitting with Wahb Ibn Munabbih rahimahullah when a man came and said,
“I passed by so-and-so, and he insulted you.”
Wahb Ibn Munabbih rahimahullah became angry and said, “Did Shaytan not find any other messenger but you!”.
When the man departed the very same man who insulted him came and said salam. Wahb Ibn Munabbih rahimahullah responded to his Salam and extended his hand for a handshake, and they sat down next to each other. (He behaved as if he knew nothing of this person’s insults in his absence.)
