Imam Abu Hatim, Muhammad Ibn Idris Ar-Razi رحمه الله was among the great muhaditheen! The likes of Imam Abu Dawud, Imam Nasaii, Imam Ibn Majah, Imam Abu Zur’aa and many other great personalities studied under him.
He first set out in search of knowledge at the age of 18 and remained away from home for 7 years. In this time, he travelled to a distant place on foot. He says that he initially started counting the mileage he had covered on foot until it reached 3000 miles! Thereafter he stopped counting!
It is said that Imam Abu Hatim رحمه الله had memorised 300,000 ahadith!!
