Daily Lesson 13

Fun and Beneficial Facts!

Did you know that committing sin, affects our ability to memorize Islamic knowledge such as Quran or Hadeeth?

Imam shafi’ee (r.a), who is one of the four great Imams of fiqh, explains the following beautiful advice given to him by his teacher imam waki’ when he complained of weak memory. He says:

“Give up your sins!” was his advice to me;

“For knowledge is a light from Allah subhanahu wata’ala…

… and the Light of Allah subhanahu wata’ala is not given to a sinner.”

So children, let’s be smart and keep away from sins and doing wrong. It is the best way to keep our memories sharp and more importantly keep our Allah happy with us.

10 Rewards For Every Letter!

There are many ways to get lots of rewards. One way is reciting the Glorious Quran. For every letter we recite we get 10 rewards. Yes, for every LETTER ! So the next time you’re reading the Glorious Quran:

  1. Count the number of letters in one line.
  2. Times it by 10 (a trick to do this is just add a zero!) So if there are 20 letters in a line, it will mean 200 rewards)
  3. Let’s make it more interesting.. Count how many letters in one page and do the zero trick from above.. That’s how many rewards for just reading one page.

The rewards just keep increasing!

That’s not all, there is nothing more beloved to Allah subhanahu wata’ala than the Glorious Quran. So reading the Glorious Quran will obviously be very dear to Allah Subhanahu wata’ala.
