A date-palm tree weeps

Our beloved Nabi ﷺ used to lean on a date-palm tree while delivering his khutbah before the Jumu’ah Salah. A companion came to our beloved Nabi ﷺ and asked if he could have a mimbar (pulpit) built for our beloved Nabi ﷺ.

Our beloved Nabi ﷺ granted him permission, and a mimbar was made.

When the time for Jumu’ah Khutbah arrived our beloved Nabi ﷺ stood on the mimbar and delivered the Khutbah.

Seeing this, the date palm began to cry! Our beloved Nabi ﷺ descended from the mimbar and comforted the date-palm tree and it’s cry gradually began to fade away.

Our beloved Nabi ﷺ said that it was crying because it was missing the religious knowledge it used to hear.
